World Day Against Child Labour – 12th June

Every year, World Day Against Child Labour is observed on the 12th June with the aim of highlighting that children are also human, and they must be treated with love and care instead of taking work from them at a young age. Moreover, the United Nations (UN) established this day as they believe that child labor will be reduced and even eliminated if the people and the government come together and start focusing on the main cause and identifying the connection between social justice and child labor.

In addition, the World Day Against Child Labour Theme 2024 is “Let’s act on our commitments: End Child Labour.” The major aim of this day is to bring awareness and promote and broaden the global call to eliminate child labour worldwide.

This child labor has badly impacted the mental and physical health of the innocent child. Due to this child labor, most of the children are facing abuse-like attacks and get bullied by the employers as well as their surroundings. These all have badly affected the lives of the children.

Therefore, to end these issues, World Day Against Child Labour has been established by the United Nations to allow innocent children to live a happy life, as every child deserves an equal right to live and get an education.
