PSL Draft 2025 – Latest Updates & Complete Players List in PSL 10

As per the latest updates, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has finally revealed the most awaited list of foreign players who registered for the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 draft. This year’s PSL draft will have the biggest names in world cricket. Moreover, considering the PSL draft date and time, the PSL draft will be held on 11 Jan 2025 in Gwadar. As per the sources, the two-time PSL champions, Lahore Qalandars, are going to make the first pick in the opening round of the platinum category, followed by Karachi Kings. The third pick will be Quetta Gladiators, and the 4^th pick will be Peshawar Zalmi.

In addition, Multan Sultans, last season’s runners-up, is going to be the fifth pick, whereas the leading champions, Islamabad United, will be picked in sixth position. Furthermore, considering the excitement of the PSL Draft 2025, many cricket superstars have registered for the PSL 2025, including players from:

PSL Draft 2025 Players Retention

It is pertinent to mention that player retentions for PSL 2025 announced for the upcoming. Additionally, each team was allowed to retain around 8 players from their prior team.

As per the sources, almost three franchises, Karachi Kings, Multan Sultans, and Peshawar Zalmi, made full use of the retention limit and retained their seven players each.

Islamabad United

Three-time winners Islamabad United have reserved their skipper Shadab Khan and star fast bowler Naseem Shah in the Platinum category. Also, Imad Wasim, along with Azam Khan, has been retained in the Diamond category.
Meanwhile, in the Gold category, Salman Ali Agha was named the brand ambassador, whereas Haider Ali was also retained in the same category. Despite them, Colin Munro, the top overseas batter in the HBL PSL history, has been retained in the Silver category along with Rumman Raees.

Multan Sultans

The winners of the HBL PSL 2021 and runners-up of the last edition, Multan Sultans, have reserved captain Rizwan and Usama Mir in the Platinum category.
Despite them, David Willey, Iftikhar Ahmed and opening batter Usman Khan have been retained in the Diamond category. England’s Chris Jordan has been reserved in Gold, whereas wrist-spinner Faisal Akram has been retained in the Silver category.

Peshawar Zalmi

One-time winner Peshawar Zalmi has retained Babar Azam and Saim Ayub in the Platinum category. Along with them, Peshawar Zalmi retained wicket-keeper Mohammad Haris in the Diamond category, and the spin bowling trio of Arif Yaqoob, Mehran Mumtaz and Sufyan Moqim have been retained in the Silver category.
Zalmi also retained the fast bowling sensation Ali Raza in the emerging category.

Quetta Gladiators

Quetta Gladiators have retained Rilee Rossouw along with Abrar Ahmed and pacer Mohammad Amir in the Diamond category. Along with them, Gladiators also retained Saud Shakeel, Akeal Hosein and Mohammad Wasim in the Gold category.
Also, Khawaja Mohammad Nafay and spinner Usman Tariq have been retained by Gladiators in the Silver category.

Karachi Kings

The HBL PSL 2020 champions, Karachi Kings, have retained Hasan Ali and James Vince in the Diamond category. Also, skipper Shan Masood and Muhammad Irfan Khan have been retained in the Gold category.
Along with them, Arafat Minhas, Zahid Mehmood, and Tim Seifert have been retained in the Silver category.

Lahore Qalandars

Shaheen Shah Afridi and Fakhar Zaman have been retained in Platinum by the two-time winners Lahore Qalandars. Meanwhile, Haris Rauf has been retained in Diamond alongside Sikandar Raza.
Despite them, Qalandars retained Abdullah Shafique, Jahandad Khan and Zaman Khan in the Gold category. Also, Qalandars retains David Wiese in the silver category.
