CDA to Build WASA in Islamabad

Islamabad: As per the latest updates, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) is going to build a Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) project in Islamabad to transform water supply, sewerage, and drainage systems. The major aim of the CDA behind establishing the WASA project in Islamabad is to enhance infrastructure, expand current systems, and establish new water treatment plants.

As per the sources, the discussion about establishing the WASA project in Islamabad is ongoing, and the work is expected to start soon. Moreover, AFD (Agence Française de Développement), a French company, is going to provide technical support for this project.

For this project, CDA Chairman Mr. Muhammad Ali Randhawa stated that “The WASA Islamabad project underscores CDA’s commitment to providing world-class amenities to the citizens.”

He further added, “This initiative will address current challenges and pave the way for a more resilient and sustainable future for Islamabad,”
