Islamabad: As per the latest updates, the chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Mr. Chaudhary Muhammad Ali Randhawa, has directed the completion of the construction work of the Islamabad Expressway by the end of July 2024. As per the sources, the CDA chairman visited the Islamabad Expressway site. During his visit, he highlighted that about 75% of the construction work on the Korang Bridge of the Islamabad Expressway had been completed.

In addition, the construction of another project known as the Railway Bridge is also going to be included in one project package. Moreover, Mr. Muhammad Ali also directed that package one of the Islamabad Expressway projects have to be confirmed by July 15
Mr. Randhawa has clearly highlighted that any kind of further delay in the construction of the Islamabad Expressway will not be tolerated anymore. So, it must be completed as soon as possible.
Moreover, Mr. Muhammad Ali has further instructed the Assistant Commissionaire to supervise the completion of the Islamabad Expressway project. He also asked all the engineers to make sure they were present at the construction site.

M. Ali also examined the other projects of the Federal Capital and advised them to work faster and complete the remaining development work as soon as possible. CDA chairman also highlighted that around 80% of the construction work on the Western Carriage of Park Road improvement initiative has been completed.
It is pertinent to mention that the Park Road expansion project has covered around a length of 7.2km. The CDA Chairman further added that the ongoing relocation of Islamabad Electric Suppl Company (IESCO) along with other utilities for the expansion of the Park Road project.
Lastly, Mr. Muhammad Ali directed that the relocation of the IESCO and utility lines have to be finished within 5 days.
