ADB Approves 180 Million USD Loan to Help Pakistan

Islamabad: As per the latest updates, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) approves a 180 million USD loan to help Pakistan improve environmental issues. As per the sources, the project will help Pakistan to enhance the country’s forests, drains, and road conditions. Moreover, the project aims to protect coastal areas, create job opportunities, and promote sustainable economic development. However, the major focus of the project will be on improving coastal areas in major places such as:
  • Thatta
  • Badin
  • Sujawal
These are the places that have seen or experienced a major hit by the recent rains and floods. Moreover, a detailed survey, design, and mapping of the Indus Delta in these areas will be measured and conducted before starting the work. Furthermore, Minister Jam Khan Shoro has further suggested improving the capacity of the Karo Gondro drain and including the Shakoor drain in this project.
