As per the latest updates, Gwadar is all set to host PSL 10 player draft on 11 Jan 2025. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) ‘s major purpose is to inspire the Gwadar youth to pursue cricket professionally while showing the area’s strategic and cultural importance. Moreover, Mohsin Naqvi and CEO Salman Naseer, the PCB officials, highlighted the significance of cricket and its major role in uniting Pakistan with other nations, along with emphasizing the beauty and potential of Gwadar.

Previously, Lahore hosted PSL Draft ceremonies 7 times, whereas Karachi and Islamabad only hosted 1 time. However, this time, the PCB announced that they were organizing the Player Draft for the 10th edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League in the port city of Balochistan, Gwadar.
In addition, PCB stated in a media statement, “The decision to choose Gwadar [as host for the player draft] was made to take the popular sport among the people in that part of the province and inspire the next generations to take up cricket as a professional sport.”
Furthermore, Mr. Mohsin Naqvi added, “Gwadar, with its stunning coastline and strategic importance, represents the heart of Pakistan’s economic future. By hosting the PSL player draft here, we aim to highlight its cultural and economic significance while celebrating the unity cricket brings to our nation.”
