Islamabad: As per the latest updates, Rawalpindi Division Commissionaire Mr. Amir Khattak has asked the Metropolitan Corporation Rawalpindi (MCR) to upgrade the Murree Road Flyover next week. As per the sources, the major upgrade will include replacing old and outdated city lights with expensive LED lights on both the 6th Road Flyover and Chandni Chowk Flyover sides.

In addition, MCR has also succeeded in acquiring Khayaban Park. This park was illegally occupied for 40 years. However, the authority will work on it to make it a modern park. Once it is fully established, they will hand over the park to the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA).
Metropolitan Corporation Rawalpindi (MCR) further stated that they are putting forth their best efforts to combat encroachment and enhance the aesthetics of Rawalpindi city. He also asked the public to contact him directly in case of any problems with the birth or death certificates and other MCR-related issues.
