Lahore: To improve the economic and technological advancement, Central Business District (CBD) Punjab has signed 16 Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the Nawaz Sharif IT (NSIT) City project. As per the sources, this agreement was signed with around 12 top Chinese firms, 3 Turkish companies, and 1 Pakistan IT company.

In addition, on 22nd May, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz inaugurated the Nawaz Sharif IT (NSIT) City project in Lahore. The Federal Minister for IT, Shaza Fatima, and the Provincial Minister for Information, Punjab Azma Bukhari, attended the event. Moreover, below are the firms that are the partners of CBD Punjab in developing the Nawaz Sharif IT (NSIT) City project:

- Huawei
- STDC from China
- Tumas Turk Engineering
- Hayat Kimya from Turkey
RUDA CEO Imran Amin expressed his gratitude towards these partners, highlighted the importance of this partnership, and appreciated their roles in building Pakistan’s largest IT hub. It is pertinent to mention that this IT hub will include various sectors like technology, education, and the creative industries.
