30 Electric Buses From China Arrive in Islamabad

Islamabad: According to the latest updates, the first batch of 30 electric buses from China arrived in Islamabad. These metro buses will operate in two major feeder routes of the Metro Bus Service. As per the sources, the second batch of around 70 buses will soon arrive.

Below are the major details about the 30 Electric Buses:

  • The feeder route 7 will run from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS)
  • The feeder route 4 will run from the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) to the Bari Imam or Quaid-e-Azam University
  • The operating timing for this metro bus service will be from 6 AM to 10 PM
  • The fare or price of the metro bus service will be around 50 rupees per person
  • The disabled person or students will get a discount
  • A charging station, which has a capacity of around 12 buses, has been set up in Jinnah Convention Centre
  • The construction of the bus depot parking is in progress in Sector H-9 of Islamabad
